Powder. Bluebird. Norway. New website?
Monday, 23 January 2006
ImageI am aware that this site has slowed down considerably since the spring of 2005. That does not mean that I am not skiing, nor does it mean that I have lost interest in writing about skiing and stuff. But for various reasons (getting older could be one...) I have decided that I do not want to spend so much time maintaining a site just about me.
What to do?
Thursday, 06 October 2005
As some people might have noticed, updates on this site have been few and very far between lately. I have not been skiing all that much this summer, partly due to injury keeping me from moving around too much, but also due to a desire to work with a few projects not directly related to me being on skis, those some of these projects are very much related to the ski world itself.
Livigno Freeheel - La Skieda 2005
Monday, 18 April 2005
ImageRecently I returned from a short trip to Livigno, Italy, and the newest incarnation of what used to be called La Skieda, currently the worlds biggest telemark festival.
Wake up. Tour. Turn around. Go home.

ImageWaking up early to check weather was no fun as it was snowing a little bit all the way to the valley bottom and no visibility whatsoever. Back in the sleeping bag for another few hours and upon waking up for the second time it is suddenly different.
What to do in Stryn when you are wet
Tuesday, 05 April 2005
ImageThe view from within a cloud is rather wet and grey, and it gets old real quick. Having driven from Oslo with the initial plan of walking up Skåla and hopefully some other stuff we were pretty disappointed by the weather; heavy grey clouds making us all wet and soggy. We haven’t really been able to see much of the mountains above 1000-1100metres either, which is kinda sad but at least means that it’s snowing up higher.
Greetings from within the clouds

ImageSupposed to tour either in Jotunheimen or around Stryn I left Oslo with Glenn yesterday and headed north. And into the rain. After a week of perfect weather it seemed some rain needed to fall and chose to do so on top of us.
Touring more – tanning less

ImageAfter summer comes fall, at least is seems so in La Grave. Overcast, kinda sorta raining a little in town, slight dust on the crust up higher and just deep and wet manky snow on lower parts. Sure is an interesting season. Still being in touring mode I went up towards Col du Lautaret hoping to find something worth a bit of sweating.
