Greetings from within the clouds
ImageSupposed to tour either in Jotunheimen or around Stryn I left Oslo with Glenn yesterday and headed north. And into the rain. After a week of perfect weather it seemed some rain needed to fall and chose to do so on top of us.

I am now sitting in Stryn, in Glenns car being relatively dry and having gotten access to a wlan network to play with while waiting for weather to get better.

Glenn enjoying a burger at Garntangen

Best experience of the trip so far has been the burger at Garntangen, a well known stop for many on the way north towards mountains and snow. From there on we have been travelling the long way west of Jotunheimen via Sogndal to arrive in Stryn; all along being prepared to stop whenever the weather would be good. But as it was bad almost all the way we ended up in Stryn after a pretty nice (despite the rain) drive along the nice-looking areas of western Norway.

We had just a little bit of sunlight at one point

In one place only an hour from the nice and scenic places of Olden and Loen we had a little bit of sunlight coming through; but it quicklu detoriated into rain and fog again. Finally in Stryn we looked around for a Statoil with the Kaffeavtale option, but found none :( Instead we drove on up to Hjelle and found ourselves a quiet little spot in between the trees along the river where we (well, Glenn did, I was on the phone with someone I talk to a lot..) pitched the tent and cooked dinner. Once the tent was up and we'd eaten I curled up in my sleeping bag with my teddybear and fell asleep to the sound of raindrops.

Our home for the night; Glenns expetition proven tent
